Meal times were very important

A good kitchen was essential to their delivery.

The original kitchen at Highcliffe Castle was used all through the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. The chefs and servants catered for the family and their lavish parties with famous and royal visitors.

When the Castle re-opens our knowledgeable volunteer guides will be able to take you behind the scenes to visit areas of the Castle you will not get to see on the public route. Upgrade your admission ticket for just £3. Tours run from Sunday – Thursday at 12 noon.*
