Sam runs our Pilates class here at the castle every Monday morning. Having worked for the NHS and private clinics she has run her own classes for over 10 years providing personal rehabilitation programmes.

Yoga

A gentle yoga class. Focusing on self-awareness and mindfulness. Using a somatic approach of viewing ourselves from the inside looking out. Beginning to understand and listen to our own bodies. Generate an awareness of how you move, how you position your body, how you breathe and how you feel throughout your whole being. Become your own yoga teacher. Listen to your body and help it learn.

H.I.I.T Training

Sofia’s High Intensity Interval Training brings a new level of fitness to Highcliffe Castle. The music tempo and volume increases for a session that will build strength whilst increasing general fitness.

Over 60s Training

Sofia will guide you through a selection of exercises aimed at maintaining mobility and strength with a sound track of classic hits. Don’t tell anyone but quite a few of her clients meet up for tea and cake at the tea rooms afterwards.

Tai Chi

Michelle taught in China for 13 years and will lead a beginners class in traditional Chinese Tai Chi, giving you confidence and leading you through a really worthwhile experience encompassing various aspects of maintaining a healthy life style.

Gong Bath

Yoga Nidra is known as Yogic Sleep, this is a deep, guided meditation or conscious sleep, which is rejuvenating, nourishing and uplifting. It helps relieve stress and insomnia, and can boost your mental capacities and energy levels. 

Once in the deep state of Yoga Nidra, the Gong is introduced. The Gong will be played in many different ways and for various purposes and intentions. There will be different builds and release cycles that can release old emotions. For most people, this is a profound and deeply moving experience.
