How to Book

How to book your wedding

We recommend that you arrange a visit to the Castle and meet with one of our team who will guide you through the days proceedings and introduce you to the charming surroundings at Highcliffe Castle.

Read this brochure paying particular attention to the terms and conditions section (The Legal Bit).

•           Decide on possible dates/times and contact us to check availability.

•           A provisional booking will be held for up to 14 days to enable you to arrange the rest of
your day. We require a non-refundable deposit and the completed signed booking form
            (detach from this brochure).

•           If after 14 days no booking form or payment has been received, the provisional booking
will be removed from the diary and made available for an alternative booking.

•           When you have agreed the date and time of your wedding ceremony with the
Castle and paid your deposit you will then need to confirm your booking with Dorset
            Registration Service to ensure availability.

•           Phone 01202 225153 or email:
            registrationinformation@dorsetcc.gov.uk

By completing the booking form you are signing to say that you have received, understood and agree to comply with Christchurch Borough Councils’ Standard Terms & Conditions of Hire (The Legal Bit) which are detailed in this brochure.

Alteration to your booking:
We recommend that all couples take out wedding insurance to cover you in the unlikely event of cancellation. All cancellations and alterations to the original booking must be made in writing.
In the event that you are late arriving for your wedding and there is a risk of subsequent bookings being affected we reserve the right to cancel your wedding ceremony. No refunds will be made and the Castle will not be liable for any costs incurred.

Please note:

•           All prices are inclusive of VAT.

•           Having a wedding or reception on site does not imply any exclusivity, the Castle
and tearooms remain open until 5pm and members of the public are welcome
in the grounds until gate closure time which changes seasonally.
